Benchmade 4300 CLA is an automatic knife, i.e. a knife with automatic opening that works on the principle of releasing the blade by pressing a button.
The knife is equipped with a slim blade with a length of 86 mm and a thickness of 3 mm. It is made from hard stainless steel 154CM hardened to 58-61 HRC. This type of steel is of American origin and is valued worldwide for its high resistance to corrosion and wear, achieved thanks to a high carbon content enriched with molybdenum. It is often described as an improved version of 440 C steel.
The blade surface has a matte satin finish, which makes it easier to clean and at the same time does not reflect light. When working with the knife, you will appreciate the highly versatile drop point tip and the milled grooved strip on the spine of the blade and handle, which acts as a finger rest when making precise cuts or shaving.
The main advantage of the knife is its automatic opening system. Unlike models with assisted opening, here you only need to press the button to open it, which releases the blade and activates the spring. In the open position, the blade is secured by the proven axis lock.
To make working with the knife comfortable, the handle features ergonomic scales made from G10 composite, which is characterised by high mechanical strength and water resistance. The contoured shape combined with the finger groove and rough texture ensures a firm and stable grip. Thanks to the lanyard hole at the end of the handle, there is the option of attaching a wrist lanyard.
