Compared to its predecessor, this model has a redesigned more robust construction, more convenient placement of control buttons and a new custom-made Li-ion battery with a capacity of 4400mAh, which can keep it running for up to 10 hours. The software has also been updated – the user interface has been reworked to be much more user-friendly and easier to operate.
Furthermore, the TE25 2.0 model is equipped with a 12μm thermal sensor with a resolution of 256x192px and a sensitivity of <35mK (it can distinguish temperature differences smaller than 0.035°C) and a lens with a diameter of 25mm, thanks to which it can detect a target at a distance of up to 1200m. The resulting image is displayed on a 1024x768px OLED display with a smooth refresh rate of 50Hz.
You can switch between 4 colour palettes (black hot, white hot, red hot and fusion), adjust overall brightness and image temperature, and photos or videos with audio can be saved to the built-in 16GB storage, or to the mobile app Hikmicro Sight. In addition, this device can be used on up to 5 different firearms without the need for repeated zeroing thanks to five user profiles.
As is already standard with Hikmicro products, there is also the popular “Recoil-activation Recording” function, which starts saving the recording several seconds before the shot and several seconds after the shot.
All this is protected by a compact housing made of durable and lightweight magnesium alloy. Thanks to the materials used and the high manufacturing quality, the device is suitable even for firearms with recoil up to 1000g/0.4ms and boasts an IP67 protection rating.
