Compared to its predecessor, this model has a redesigned more robust construction, more comfortable placement of the control buttons and a new custom-made Li-ion battery with a capacity of 4400mAh, which provides operation for up to 10 hours. The software has also been updated – the user interface has been reworked to be much more user-friendly and easier to operate.
Furthermore, the TE19 2.0 model is equipped with a 12μm thermal sensor with a resolution of 256x192px and a sensitivity of <35mK (it can distinguish temperature differences smaller than 0.035°C) and a lens with a diameter of 19mm, thanks to which it can detect a target at a distance of up to 1000m. The resulting image is transmitted to a 1024x768px OLED display with a smooth refresh rate of 50Hz.
You can switch between 4 colour palettes (black hot, white hot, red hot and fusion), adjust overall brightness and image temperature, and captured photos or videos with audio can be stored on the built-in 16GB storage, or in the mobile app Hikmicro Sight. In addition, this device can be used on up to 5 different rifles without the need for repeated zeroing thanks to five user profiles.
A popular feature that has already become standard with Hikmicro products is “Recoil-activation Recording”, which starts saving the recording several seconds before the shot and several seconds after the shot.
All this is protected by a compact housing made from durable and lightweight magnesium alloy. Thanks to the materials used and the high-quality workmanship, the device is also suitable for rifles with recoil up to 1000g/0.4ms and boasts a protection rating of IP67.
