Hikvision, a leading manufacturer of high‑end industrial cameras based on thermal sensors, has once again expanded its range of handheld thermal cameras Hikmicro, this time with the new model Lynx LE 15.
This model has the form of a compact monocular that fits in the palm of your hand. Its parameters are adapted for hunting activities, rescue operations, and property protection. Thanks to its balanced price-to-performance ratio, this model is very popular and frequently chosen.
The polymer housing with IP67 protection rating, equipped with a rubber eyecup and lens cover, houses a display with a resolution of 720x540 px and a core with 12 μm technology, a resolution of 256x192 px and a refresh rate of 25 Hz. During observation we can use optical zoom (1.24x) as well as digital zoom (x2, x4, x8). The 15 mm lens allows us to detect a human-sized target at a distance of 625 m and a car-sized target at 708 m. There is a choice of 4 colour palettes – warm black, warm white, red and fusion.
Among the useful features worth mentioning are certainly Hot-Spot (marking the object with the highest thermal value) and distance measurement – after marking the upper and lower edge of the object, the system calculates its distance. On the other hand, we have the 3D DNR technology for image noise reduction, AGC technology – automatic gain control, and DDE technology – for sharpening details.
Thanks to the integrated 8 GB memory we have enough space to store photos and videos. In addition, the Wi‑Fi function allows the image to be transmitted to a phone or other compatible device with Android or iOS. The built‑in lithium battery provides up to 7 hours of operation and it is charged via a USB‑C port.
