Hawke AIRMAX 30 WA SF 8-32x50 AMX has a monolithic nitrogen-filled aluminium construction. The tube diameter is 1.2", i.e. 30 mm.
The eyepiece has fast focus (Fast Focus) and the lenses are equipped with a sixteen-layer MC coating. The gas inside the system ensures that the objective and eyepiece lenses do not fog up. The riflescope is also waterproof and shockproof. Inside the AIRMAX models there is an etched reticle AMX IR. It is illuminated in red with six adjustable intensity levels with off positions between them.
Horizontal and vertical adjustment is in milliradian values – one click equals 1/10 MRAD. The turrets for adjustment are capped, so the set configuration will not change without the user noticing. Parallax adjustment is located on the left side of the riflescope and is operated via a side turret; its range is 10 yds to infinity. To maintain the set values, the system needs to be relatively stiff. For this reason the manufacturer includes a large side wheel, which you mount on the parallax turret to make operation easier. The illumination control is located in the same place.
The variable magnification range of 8–32x is adjusted using a rubberised ring with serrations behind the eyepiece. The riflescope belongs to the second focal plane (SFP).
The package includes a large amount of small accessories. The eyepiece and objective are protected by flip-up metal covers, which can be removed using special half-round keys. Among other accessories you will also find, for example, a hex key, a cloth for cleaning the glass and a spare battery for the illumination of the AMX reticle.
