In 1966, Captain Bud Holzman of the US Army came up with its design. In its design he combined two no less famous weapons – the Roman short sword Gladius and the dagger of the British Commandos from the Second World War, the Fairbairn-Sykes.
The double-edged blade has a partially serrated edge and is made of 420HC stainless steel. The lightweight aluminium handle fits perfectly in your hand, and a practical guard also protects your palm.
The beautiful all-black design is not just for looks. The black colour is anti-reflective and therefore great for use at night. The blade will not reflect light, helping you to stay concealed. This model also comes with a ballistic nylon sheath.
The blade length is an impressive 165 mm and the total weight of the knife is 227 g. During its period of active service, some military officials even claimed that this dagger was too brutal for military use.
