The Gerber Mark II combat dagger is a now legendary sharp instrument from the Vietnam War. It was designed by U.S. Army Captain Bud Holzman in 1966. In its design, he combined two equally famous weapons - the Roman short sword Gladius and the World War II British Commandos dagger Fairbairn-Sykes.
The double-edged blade has a combination edge and is made of 420HC stainless steel. The lightweight aluminium handle fits your hand like a glove and your palm is protected by a practical guard.
The beautiful all-black design is not just for show. The black colour is anti-reflective and is therefore great for use at night. The blade will not reflect light and you will remain hidden. This model also comes with a ballistic nylon sheath.
The blade is a respectable 165 mm long The weight of the entire knife is 227 g. At the time of its active use, this dagger was even said by some military officials to be too brutal for military use.
