Maverick is a brand new PCP platform that was designed from the start to shoot heavier pellets and slugs. The designers at Swedish company FX Airguns have really gone the extra mile and the result is a high performance, modular airgun that is full of innovative features.
The Sniper version comes with an extremely accurate 700mm Sniper Edition barrel. It has been specially designed for precision long-range shooting. The design of the weapon of course still allows for easy caliber changes (Smooth Twist X technology). The barrel is shrouded and the muzzle is threaded for an external sound moderator.
This model uses a two AMP regulator system. The first regulator will reduce the air pressure and pre-pressurize it for the second regulator. With this solution, the second regulator is not as stressed and the gun achieves consistent performance with minimal deviations . Both regulators can be externally adjusted to work together in harmony. The manufacturer recommends keeping the difference between them around 30 to 40 bar.
FX Maverick also boasts the largest Power Plenum ever available on any FX model. It has a capacity of 89cc and, combined with the twin regulator system, delivers very consistent results. The oval carbon cartridge can hold up to 580 cc of air and the maximum filling pressure is 250 bar.
The Enhanced Sport Trigger is adjustable and among the best we've tried yet. The manual safety is located on the right side of the body, just above the trigger. There is also a height-adjustable buttpad. The modular design of the weapon allows for the mounting of a variety of accessories, with a total of four 22mm Weaver rails.
