The Swedish manufacturer FX Airguns is famous all over the world for their constant flow of top-quality PCP airguns designed for the most demanding users. This time, they've come up with an airgun worthy of its name, the FX King. More exactly, it is an FX Dynamic dressed up in a finely contoured laminate stock.
The gorgeous stock, composed of dozens of layers of birch wood, is made by a Norwegian manufacturer GRS. Compared to the standard Dynamic model, the King's stock features a height-adjustable cheekpiece and a length-adjustable buttpad made of ultra soft rubber. The SpeedLock system allows you to quickly and easily adjust them without the need to carry any additional tools. Due to the overall shape of the stock and grip, the air rifle is suitable for right-handed shooters only.
Another difference is the positioning of the 480cc carbon cartridge under the barrel and thus the absence of the extended mounting platform. The cartridge is filled with a classic Foster quickfill port with an end cap.
Other components remain untouched. Especially worth mentioning is the core of the whole airgun - Dynamic Block with a balanced valve ensuring flow of precisely set volume of air, thanks to which you can achieve high performance with minimal deviations and at the same time high number of shots per fill. Plus, it can hold projectiles up to 13mm long.
The air rifle achieves unsurpassed accuracy thanks to its superbly machined Superior Heavy STX series barrel. The rifling is pressed from the outside, making the inner surface perfectly smooth, therefore minimizing the friction of the discharged projectile. The barrel is encased in a shroud that serves three functions. First, it reinforces the barrel, second, it acts as an integrated sound moderator and finally, it features a 156cc Power Plenum. The muzzle is also fitted with a 1/2 UNF thread in case you wish to install an additional silencer.
Using the rotary knobs (Quick Tune System) on the left side, you can adjust the tension of the hammer spring and thus the overall muzzle velocity. Naturally, there is also an externally adjustable AMP MkII regulator and two pressure gauges from the trusted manufacturer WIKA on the left side. Those are tilted backwards for comfortable reading even during shooting. The fully adjustable sport trigger with very smooth operation is already a standard with FX.
A riflescope can be mounted to the Picatinny rail canted by 9MIL/30MOA allowing easier riflescope adjustment for great distances. There are also two Picatinny rails on the sides of the barrel for mounting other accessories.
