The production line of the Swedish company FX Airguns has once again released a new premium PCP air rifle model. At first sight, it may remind you of the sport airgun FX Panthera - and rightly so. The FX Dynamic is heavily based on its sibling, but instead of being a competition special, it's tuned for hunting applications. However, it has maintained the excellent accuracy.
Compared to its sport equivalent, this model is designed specifically for firing heavy slugs. Everyone who requires truly enormous impact energy at great distances will definitely appreciate that.
Another distinctive feature of the Express version is the different stock design and air cartridge arrangement. The carbon bottle with a larger volume is directly connected to the airgun's main block and a fixed polymer stock with a height-adjustable rubber buttstock is "wrapped" around it. Filling the cartridge is done by a classic Foster quickfill valve with a protective cap.
Other components (except for their settings) remain untouched. Perfection simply cannot be improved. Especially worth mentioning is the core of the whole airgun - Dynamic Block with a balanced valve ensuring flow of precisely set volume of air, thanks to which you can achieve high performance with minimal deviations and at the same time high number of shots per fill. Plus, it can hold projectiles up to 13mm long.
The air rifle achieves unsurpassed accuracy thanks to its superbly machined Superior Heavy STX series barrel. The rifling is pressed from the outside, making the inner surface perfectly smooth, therefore minimizing the friction of the discharged projectile. The barrel is encased in a shroud that serves three functions. First, it reinforces the barrel, second, it acts as an integrated sound moderator and finally, it features a 156cc Power Plenum. The muzzle is also fitted with a 1/2 UNF thread in case you wish to install an additional silencer.
Using the rotary knobs (Quick Tune System) on the left side, you can adjust the tension of the hammer spring and thus the overall muzzle velocity. Naturally, there is also an externally adjustable AMP MkII regulator and two pressure gauges from the trusted manufacturer WIKA on the left side. Those are tilted backwards for comfortable reading even during shooting. The fully adjustable sport trigger with very smooth operation is already a standard with FX.
A riflescope can be mounted to the Picatinny rail canted by 6MIL/20MOA allowing easier riflescope adjustment for great distances. To mount a bipod or other accessories, you can use either the Arca-Swiss rail or several rows of M-LOK slots on the sides and the bottom. And if the original handle doesn't suit you, it can be easily replaced with any AR-15 grip.
