PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Machine translated

Evanix is one of the top manufacturers of PCP guns on the market. Rainstorm SL SHB uses a classic side lever loading system. Thanks to this solution, loading is very fast. At first glance you will notice the beautifully crafted wooden stock, made from Turkish Sepetia wood. The cheekpiece shape is universal, which means it can be used by both left- and right-handed shooters. In the SHB version this gun has one specific feature, which is the shrouded barrel. Thanks to the second shroud, the shot is hardly audible and it is even possible to fit an additional sound moderator on this version.

You will certainly appreciate the vertically adjustable rubber butt pad. This rifle model is equipped with the new type of magazines, which have been upgraded, making reloading easier and preventing jamming. The magazines are always pre‑rotated when inserting pellets, so there is no need for a mechanism to rotate the magazines. You can find a similar system on Daystate rifles.

Rainstorm SL is not equipped with open sights, therefore we recommend purchasing a quality riflescope. For mounting the riflescope there is an 11mm dovetail rail. The rifle is equipped with a manometer that allows you to monitor the usable pressure in the air cylinder. Thanks to this you will be able to estimate the number of remaining shots. We recommend filling to a maximum pressure of 230 bar. The volume of the air cylinder is 260 ccm.

During shooting you will not have to reload all the time, the 5.5mm air rifle is equipped with a 10‑shot pellet magazine. Of course, the manufacturer also thought about a safety to prevent accidental discharge, so your safety is taken care of. Another advantage is that you can adjust both the trigger pull weight and the trigger position.

There are few things you can truly rely on, but one of them is this gun. The guns are manufactured for high power outputs of up to around 60 Joules. For our market the power is limited to 16 J. The 5.5mm calibre is mainly intended for hunting or destructive shooting. For target shooting we recommend 4.5mm calibre.

Practical experience: The Rainstorm and Blizzard models are absolute bestsellers from EVANIX. As they have been in production for 10 years already, all the so‑called teething problems have been solved. For us, the clear positives are the simple design and excellent handling. The shooting accuracy is comparable to more expensive models. An advantage is also that they are structurally designed for much higher power. The only drawback is the missing pressure regulator for even more precise shooting. However, you can purchase one separately. The SHB version gives this gun extra “maturity”: thanks to the second shroud the barrel is more robust and the shot is more suppressed.
