The development of PCP air rifles is progressing in leaps and bounds, and the Korean manufacturer Evanix definitely does not intend to be left behind. On the contrary, they are constantly looking for new ways to improve already perfect models. Proof of this is the second generation of the highly successful bullpup Max Air.
Evanix Max Air II is one of the fastest and most reliable semi-automatic air rifles on the market. It is an ideal choice for those who are tired of constant reloading. You can shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. It should be added that this happens without any jamming. It’s simple: before inserting the magazine, just cock the charging lever, insert the magazine and return the lever to its original position. Then all you have to do is pull the trigger.
The Air Max model uses new magazines that have been developed specifically for Semi-auto models. The package includes two of them, each with a capacity of 9 shots. The manual safety is located above the trigger.
High-quality workmanship is a matter of course for Evanix products. The rifle feels really robust and all main components are made of metal. The polymer stock is complemented by an ergonomically shaped pistol grip and a rubber butt pad for recoil absorption. A polymer cheekpiece is also present. Max Air has no iron sights, therefore a 22mm Weaver rail is used for mounting optics. A second rail can be found on the forearm and can be used, for example, to attach a bipod.
The carbon air cylinder has a volume of 280 ccm with a maximum working pressure of 250 bar. It is filled using the supplied Evanix filling probe. The barrel is shrouded, which makes the rifle quieter, but you can still purchase a sound moderator and screw it onto the 1/2" thread.
