However, some may not like the original aluminium stock, which is why the designers at EPIC AIRGUNS are introducing an elegant variant with a walnut wood stock.
And this is no ordinary stock – behind its production stands the renowned Czech company KLINSKY, which has perfected it down to the smallest detail. The selected wood has a unique grain pattern, making each air rifle a kind of one‑off. For mounting a bipod or tripod you can use the standard lower UIT Anschütz rail. The segments on the forearm and the grip are textured, and the hidden trump card is a height-adjustable symmetrical cheekpiece and a height-, length- and side-adjustable rubber butt pad. Only a single H4 Allen key is required for their adjustment. Compared to the original version with the aluminium stock and extended Arca‑Swiss mounting platform, the Walnut version achieves a pleasantly low weight, which will be especially appreciated by hunters on long trips.
All other components remain unchanged. The unchoked CZUB barrel with 12 lands and grooves and a 17.7" twist rate is fitted with a carbon shroud, which also serves to pretension it (harmonic tuning). At the end of the barrel there is an adapter with a 1/2UNF thread for installing any sound moderator. By removing the adapter, you reveal an M27x1 thread onto which you can mount the original moderator or muzzle brake Epic Airguns.
Thanks to the barrel kit you can freely change the barrel length and the overall calibre of the air rifle. The kit includes everything you need (barrel, carbon shroud with M27x1 thread, 1/2UNF moderator adapter, 1/2UNF thread protector, transfer port and loading probe).
To achieve the best possible results with heavy pellets and slugs, a barrel kit with an unchoked polygonal Lothar Walther barrel (6 lands and grooves with a 17.7" twist rate) is also available.
EPIC TWO air rifles are equipped with an externally adjustable balanced valve, which ensures maximum performance with minimal hammer spring tension, making it easier to cock the sidelever. At the same time it reduces air waste and thus increases the shot count per fill. The hammer preload can be adjusted by a screw located behind the sidelever.
The air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of up to 300 bar (4350 PSI) can be filled using the supplied fill probe with a standard 1/8" diameter compatible with standard quick couplers. The air rifle has 2 pressure gauges – one indicates the current pressure in the cylinder, the other shows the pressure in the externally adjustable regulator.
For mounting a riflescope there is a standard 22 mm Picatinny rail with a 30 MOA incline, making it easier to set up the optics for shooting at the longest distances. Of course, there is also a fully adjustable trigger and a conveniently positioned manual safety on the right side.
