The Epic designers are now coming with something a bit more traditional – the ONE Walnut series with an elegantly shaped walnut stock.
Introducing EPIC ONE – a new icon from the world-famous company EPIC AIRGUNS based in the Czech Republic. The EPIC team has capitalised on all the experience gained from the production of the successful TWO model and transformed it into its compact bullpup successor. The high manufacturing quality is evident from every angle – for example, the main monoblock of the air rifle is made from a single piece of metal on a 5-axis CNC machine.
This bullpup boasts a new adjustable HIGH-POWER balanced valve that guarantees maximum power with minimum hammer spring tension, making it easier to cock the side lever. At the same time, it reduces air waste and thus increases the shot count per fill. The hammer preload can be adjusted externally using a screw located above the buttpad.
The air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of up to 300 bar (4350 PSI) can be filled using the supplied fill probe with a standard 1/8" diameter compatible with common quick couplers. The air rifle is equipped with two manometers – one to indicate the current pressure in the cylinder, the other for the pressure in the externally adjustable regulator, which can be set with the supplied tool in the range of 50 to 190 bar (always follow the instructions in the manual).
To achieve even more consistent muzzle velocity, the regulator is complemented with a large power plenum (63cc for the version with 420mm barrel and 95cc for the 550mm and 700mm barrels).
EPIC ONE air rifles are fitted with a non-choked CZUB barrel (Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod) with 12 grooves and a 17.7" twist rate. The muzzle is equipped with a 1/2UNF thread for mounting a sound moderator. The carbon shroud serves to stiffen the barrel and also allows barrel pre-tensioning (harmonic tuning).
Air rifles with 420mm and 550mm barrels are additionally fitted with an integrated K-Baffle type sound moderator, also ending in a 1/2UNF thread.
The version with a 700mm barrel becomes compatible, after unscrewing the segment with the 1/2UNF thread and exposing the M27x1 thread, with the EPIC AIRGUNS sound moderator or with a muzzle brake.
Thanks to the barrel kit, you can freely change the barrel length and the overall calibre of the air rifle. The set includes everything you need (barrel, carbon shroud with M27x1 thread, 1/2UNF moderator adapter, 1/2UNF thread protector, transfer port and probe).
To achieve the best results with heavy pellets and slugs, a barrel kit with a non-choked polygonal Lothar Walther barrel (6 grooves with a 17.7" twist rate) is also available.
The ONE series is equipped with a new pre-tensioned magazine with a magnetically closed cover. To load it, simply rotate the inner part and insert the first projectile, which locks the rotary mechanism. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the magazine does not interfere with the overall look of the air rifle and does not get in the way when handling it. It also holds projectiles up to 14mm long.
Thanks to a clever bullpup layout, the ONE model achieves exceptionally compact dimensions while the air rifle remains perfectly balanced. A rubberised cheekpiece, which can be freely moved along the 11mm dovetail rail running along the entire main block of the air rifle, serves for proper shouldering. The elevated Picatinny rail with up to 30 MOA incline is also adjustable and makes it easier to zero the riflescope for the longest shooting distances.
The Walnut series, instead of an adjustable aluminium buttpad, boasts a walnut stock manufactured by the renowned Czech company KLINSKY, finished down to the smallest detail. The selected wood has a unique grain pattern, making each air rifle a one-of-a-kind piece. If you already own the standard EPIC ONE version, you can purchase the wooden stock separately here.
You can also purchase the Top Rail EPIC ONE – a tuning Picatinny rail with a number of M-LOK slots on the sides, or an Arca-Swiss mounting platform for versions with a 580cc and 300cc carbon bottle.
To attach additional accessories, you can use two short Anschütz UIT rails on the sides of the barrel.
Trigger mechanism has been fine-tuned to the smallest detail. Using several screws, you can adjust the trigger pull weight, the travel of the first and second stages, as well as the height and rotation of the trigger blade. A reliable lever safety is located right in front of the trigger, so you do not have to take your eyes off the target when disengaging it. The easily reversible side lever with an extremely smooth action is already a matter of course on EPIC air rifles.
EPIC ONE Walnut is available in three construction variants:
