It is literally a masterpiece from the Russian designers led by Eduard Gafarov himself. They simply took everything good from the first Leshiy and set out to fulfil the dreams and wishes of customers. Leshiy II has thus evolved from the original single-shot airgun into a semi-automatic beast.
Leshiy means “Spirit of the Forest”. And this air rifle is just as dangerous as the mentioned Slavic demon. Thanks to its compact dimensions and low weight, it is very easy to carry. It fits comfortably into a backpack, yet it is extremely powerful and accurate. Add to that the semi-automatic firing mode and the eight-shot magazine and it is immediately clear that it has no competition among PCP air rifles.
The entire air supply is contained in the air cylinder, which also serves as the stock. In the basic configuration it holds a total of 198 cm3 of air, but thanks to the modular design it can be replaced with a larger one. Filling is carried out using a quickfill connector, which only needs to be inserted into the port in the buttpad. The port is cleverly protected by a cap against dirt. The pressure in the cylinder is shown by a clear manometer recessed in the buttpad.
The magazine has a capacity of 8 shots and its placement is truly unconventional. To insert or remove it, you first need to fold the stock. This is done via a simple fingertip-operated lever on the right side of the body. The ergonomics of the Leshiy II are at a high level. The comfortable pistol grip is compatible with the AR15 standard. The manual safety is located in front of the sport-tuned trigger.
A distinctive feature is the sound moderator, which covers part of the 350 mm long barrel. The manufacturer also openly states that both the barrel and moderator can be very easily replaced with longer ones. As you won’t find any open sights on the gun, it has to be fitted with a suitable riflescope. For this there is a 22 mm Weaver rail. A second Weaver rail is located on the underside of the frame and allows for easy bipod mounting.
