Diagnostic Charger Lii-500S (Li-Ion and NiMH)

Lii-500S will help you get discharged rechargeable batteries back into shape. This is a universal charger that can also serve as a diagnostic station. It is suitable for Li-Ion, NiMH and NiCd batteries with a voltage of 3.6 V and 3.7 V. It has an LCD display that shows the selected program, the current battery voltage, charged/discharged capacity, elapsed time, and the selected charging/discharging current. It can charge up to four batteries at the same time.

It is powered directly from a wall socket, as usual. Slightly unusual is the option to choose from 3 functions. You can either simply charge the inserted batteries (Charge), discharge them (Discharge), or diagnose and charge them (Test). You switch between the programs using the “mode” button. The diagnostic program is time-consuming because it charges the battery, discharges it and charges it again. During this process, it measures its capacity.

You can also set the charging and discharging current. For charging current, you can choose from 4 levels: 500 mAh, 700 mAh, 1000 mAh or 2000 mAh. The highest value can be selected for a maximum of 2 Li-Ion batteries. For the discharging current, you can choose either 250 mAh or 500 mAh. You select the current value using the “current” button. You must select the program and current value within 8 s of inserting the battery.

The charger is compatible with standard rechargeable AA, AAA or C batteries. You can also use it to charge 18650, 14500, 26650 or RCR123A batteries. It will charge all Li-Ion batteries with a length of 31–73 mm and a diameter of up to 26 mm.
