This type of machete with a forward-widening blade is referred to as European. It can also be used for self-defence. Today it is very popular not only among outdoor enthusiasts and travellers to exotic countries. You will make use of it here as well. Cutting your way through hard-to-access terrain is not as easy as it seems.
The machete has a blade profile in the Slant Tip shape. Thanks to the straight spine you can use the entire edge of the machete for chopping. The tip of the blade can then, in self-defence, end up stuck in the attacker. The 457 mm long blade is made of 1055 carbon tool steel. Thanks to this it is very strong and not easily damaged. You also do not have to worry about rust. The blade has a black anti-corrosion finish.
The handle is made of polypropylene and gives the weapon very good support. The machete is supplied including a reinforced Cor-Ex sheath with a belt loop for carrying on the belt. This way you can always have it at hand.
