It is actually neither a machete, nor a knife, nor a sword. It is a feared warrior’s weapon. The Kukri is still an essential part of the Gurkhas’ equipment in the ranks of the elite SAS and instils incredible fear in their enemies. It is also an excellent working tool designed for chopping.
The blade is made of 1055 carbon steel. The balance point is set closer to the tip of the machete, which is typical for a Kukri. The blade’s special sharpening is designed for an extremely deep cut with every strike. The plastic handle fits comfortably in the hand and is almost indestructible.
The machete is supplied with a practical protective sheath.
