Bear pepper spray KKS VESK Grizzly 200ml

The VESK Grizzly range uses the active ingredient OC (Oleoresin Capsicum), a natural extract obtained from chilli peppers. The filling contains 10% OC extract, with a pungency of 4,000,000 SHU and containing 26.64% capsaicinoids. In the final mixture, the spray achieves a concentration of 2.66% major capsaicinoids (MC).

The MC (Major Capsaicinoids) value is among the most important figures when assessing the strength of pepper spray. It includes the main pungent components of chilli extract, particularly capsaicin, dihydrocapsaicin and nordihydrocapsaicin. Upon contact, they cause intense irritation to the eyes, mucous membranes and respiratory tract and can provide the necessary time to retreat to safety.

Powerful OC extract with 4,000,000 SHU

The Oleoresin Capsicum used reaches a pungency of 4,000,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Units). This figure expresses the pungency of the OC extract itself, while 2.66% MC indicates the concentration of major capsaicinoids in the finished spray filling.

The individual values therefore mean:

• 10% OC – proportion of chilli extract in the filling
• 4,000,000 SHU – pungency of the OC extract used
• 26.64% capsaicinoids – their concentration in the OC extract itself
• 2.66% MC – resulting content of major capsaicinoids in the finished filling

Wide spray pattern with a range of up to 7 metres

The nozzle produces a wide cone of defensive agent, covering a larger area than a narrow stream. It is therefore not necessary to aim as precisely during use, which can be advantageous especially in a stressful situation or when an animal is moving.

A range of up to 7 metres allows the spray to be used from a greater distance from dangerous wildlife and creates a defensive barrier between the user and the animal.

The head design also features a safety lock against accidental pressing, helping to prevent accidental discharge during carrying.

Ready for use in the field

VESK Grizzly is intended primarily for travel in areas where an unexpected encounter with a bear, wild boar or other dangerous wildlife may occur. The spray should be carried so that it is quickly accessible when needed.
