Czech company AirMaks Arms is becoming better known on the airgun market day by day thanks to its continuously expanding range of premium high‑performance air rifles with a distinctive design.
This time they introduce another addition to the family of compact bullpups called Krait Tube 4.5mm. The designation “Tube” means that instead of the usual rounded Kevlar air cylinder, the rifle is equipped with an elongated 200cc cylindrical air cylinder with a working pressure of up to 300 bar.
All other parts of the air rifle remain unchanged, such as the shrouded barrel along its entire length with a twist rate of 1/17, and at its end there is a standard 1/2x20 UNF thread for installing a sound moderator.
The Krait is equipped with two pressure gauges that show the pressure in the air cylinder and in the externally adjustable pressure regulator. The icing on the cake is the Power Plenum with a capacity of 60cc.
Precise shooting is ensured by a fully adjustable two‑stage trigger, and right above it there is a manual safety that can easily be moved to the other side, just like the sidelever with an extremely smooth action.
For mounting accessories there are a total of 4 Picatinny rails. The rail for mounting a riflescope is canted by 20 MOA for easier riflescope adjustment for long‑range shooting.
Comfortable shooting is provided by a solid metal stock with a height‑adjustable cheekpiece and a rubber butt pad adjustable in both height and length. Of course, there is also a standardized rubberized AR-15 type grip designed for right‑handed shooters, which can easily be replaced with another one.
