The Katran air rifle family has once again expanded with another model, which already by its designation SC (Sub-Compact) reveals that we are dealing with the smallest version.
The sub-compact version retains all the main features of its predecessors, but its reduced construction has its specifics. A major change has been made to the barrel, which now has 230 mm (rifling twist 1/17.7) and the air cylinder, whose reduced volume is 100 cc.
For filling, a filling port (Quick-Fill) is provided at the front of the cylinder and directly on the front of the cylinder there is a pressure gauge scaled up to 300 bar.
AR-15 type pistol grip is pleasant to the touch thanks to the softened polymer and its ergonomic shape with finger grooves fits comfortably in the hand. The air rifle can be secured by a manual safety. The trigger is fully adjustable in the usual way using Allen screws. The sufficiently long top mounting rail Picatinny takes into account the option of shooting with optics. On top of that, the metal collar at the rear of the cylinder has slots on its surface for mounting systems from the AirMaks range.
The folding stock offers adjustment of the cheek piece height and the buttpad position. A practical feature of the stock is the holder for two magazines, so you can always have them at hand.
The biathlon-style sidelever is located on the left side, but it can easily be swapped to the right side.
