It is adapted for this purpose by its length, weight, and simple design. In addition, thanks to the low energy of 7 J, it has a very mild recoil, making shooting with it very pleasant and enjoyable.
The Cometa 100 is set in a simple wooden stock with a pleasantly smooth surface finish. Holding comfort is enhanced by the comfortable grip.
Its internal mechanism is cocked in the classic way – by breaking the barrel, after which it is automatically secured by a safety. A single-stage trigger is used to release the mechanism.
Precise aiming is provided by classic sights consisting of a tunnel front sight and a fully adjustable rear sight. If you have higher ambitions, you can use the 11mm dovetail located just behind the rear sight to mount a riflescope.

For the purpose I need it for, it will serve well. However, I’m a bit
disappointed with the workmanship compared to the Fénix 400 we have at home.
From my point of view, the Fénix is perfect. Both in shooting and in
workmanship (beautiful grain and colour of the wood). The Stovková kometa feels
like an air rifle from a different manufacturer. I do accept that I can’t
influence the wood grain shown on the e‑shop and that each piece is unique.
However, it’s not just about the wood grain – on one side there are
defects in the wood, see fig. 2. Even though they don’t affect the function,
I don’t really like it.
