The beautifully designed BSA R12 CLX PCP air rifle draws attention primarily with its traditional walnut stock, complemented by a right-hand cheekpiece and an adjustable butt pad. The underside of the stock features two attachment points for a sling or a bipod. The stock has an attractive wood grain and a smooth finish, with textured surfaces in the grip areas.
The air rifle's internal system is powered by compressed air stored in a bottle-type reservoir with a working pressure of 230 Bar and a capacity of 200 cm3. The reservoir is filled using a quickfill adapter with a standard 1/8 BSP thread. The current pressure can be monitored on the analogue pressure gauge located on the fore-end. An integrated pressure regulator ensures consistent air delivery during shooting.
The rifle is operated using a sliding side lever. Pulling it back cocks the mechanism, and returning it to its original position feeds a pellet from the 12-shot magazine directly into the barrel. For increased safety, the mechanism can be secured between shots using the manual safety located at the rear of the action.
The precision shrouded rifled barrel is 390mm long and is fitted with a sound moderator for the quietest possible shooting. As the air rifle is not equipped with open sights, it must be fitted with a suitable scope, for which a 13mm mounting rail is provided.
The sporting two-stage trigger allows adjustment of the travel and the trigger blade position in three directions.
