BSA played an important role in both world wars. In the first one, it focused mainly on ammunition production. During the Second World War, BSA supplied the British Army with more than half of all small arms. War production also included almost half a million Browning machine guns, with which Spitfire and Hurricane aircraft won the Battle of Britain. BSA factories were bombed several times, but fortunately the Germans did not manage to cripple production.
