New videos and reviews every day 6000+ reviews from our customers The company AirMaks Arms once again introduces a modernised version of one of the most popular Czech PCP air rifles, this time under the name Katran Pro. This version has been adapted for sport shooting – the manufacturer has completely redesigned the folding stock, the bottom mounting platform, and the grip has also been modified.
The aluminium stock is now in PRS style (Precision Rifle Series discipline), fitted with a height-adjustable cheek piece and a buttpad adjustable in both height and length. It also features two “QD Sling” sockets for attaching a sling. As with the original model, a simple button is used to fold the stock and in the folded position it is held by a magnet.
The under‑barrel mounting platform has also been modified. Thanks to its angular shape it now includes an Arca-Swiss rail, and on the sides and on the bottom there are M-LOK slots.
Comfortable prone shooting is ensured by an ergonomically shaped rubberised AR-15 grip with a reduced angle from FAB Defense.
Consistent muzzle velocity is now supported by the proven HUMA-AIR pressure regulator, which eliminates decreasing performance caused by the falling pressure in the air cylinder. For filling, the package includes a classic fill pin (G1/8 thread) with hose (G5/8 thread).
The high-precision rifled barrel is shrouded along its entire length and at its end there is a 1/2UNFx20 thread for installing a sound moderator.
The loading system is also worth mentioning, as it offers an incredibly smooth and easy operation. The side lever is located just above the trigger, so you can cycle it with one finger at lightning speed, and it can be easily swapped to the other side.
The safety is located above the fully adjustable trigger, and a metal 22 mm Picatinny rail canted by 20 MOA is used for mounting a riflescope, making scope adjustment easier for long‑range shooting.
