The airgun replica Colt Single Action Army SAA.45 was first introduced to the public in 2015 at a trade fair in Germany. The manufacturer is now coming with a new pellet version featuring a rifled barrel.
The revolver’s full-metal frame has a shiny nickel-plated finish with gold accents. The polymer grips visually imitate ivory. Shell casings filled with pellets are inserted into the 6-chamber cylinder. The combination of a long 5.5" rifled barrel and lead pellets gives this revolver excellent accuracy.
The internal mechanism is powered by a 12 g CO2 cartridge, which is inserted into the grip after opening the grip panel. The trigger mechanism operates only in Single Action mode. In this case, the two-position hammer must be cocked before each shot. A light cocking only rotates the cylinder; only fully cocking it to the rear position prepares the revolver for firing. The cylinder can be rotated only when the hammer is in the first cocked position. The revolver can be secured with a manual safety located in front of the trigger guard.
