Water filter Sawyer Mini SP128 blue

Sawyer Mini SP105 blue is a practical and lightweight travel filter. It is a very simple filtration system with an enormous service life. The manufacturer guarantees filtration of up to 100,000 gallons of water, which corresponds to more than 378,000 litres in the metric system. To give you an idea, this is the same amount of water that would fill a small swimming pool measuring 25 x 12.5 m to a water level height of 1.2 metres.

The package of this water filter includes a rubber tube for drawing water from a stream, a plastic water pouch and a syringe for cleaning the filter. The filter itself weighs only 65 g, so you can always have it at hand. On one side, the filter has a covered mouthpiece from which you can drink or fill water bottles. On the other side of the filter there is an inlet opening where you can attach either the rubber tube or the included pouch, or any PET bottle with water.

Then you simply drink the water. There is nothing complicated hidden in the filter. The PointONE technology used by the Sawyer water filter has an absolute pore size of 0.1 micron. Thanks to this, it filters out 99.99999% of all harmful bacteria such as salmonella, cholera, E. coli. We recommend filtering only water without solid particles such as sand or mud. Otherwise, the filter would clog unnecessarily and you would then have to clean it more often.

Its only potential weakness is its sensitivity to frost. If it is damp and freezes, it can either crack or be damaged in some way. In that case we do not recommend using it any further.
