Just like the previous models, this one is equipped with a realistic blowback system and operates in a semi-automatic mode, as the slide takes care of cocking. On this model it is not possible to lock the slide to the rear, as on the live firearm.
The mechanism is powered by a CO2 12g cartridge, which is placed directly into the magazine. The gas is introduced into the system by a screw on the bottom of the magazine. By tightening it (with the included Allen key), the screw moves upwards and pushes the capsule onto the pin that opens the cartridge and pressurises the firing system.
Umarex has chosen standard pellets as ammunition here. This is made possible by a special rubber ammunition belt inside the magazine. It can hold 21 shots. Pellets combined with the rifled barrel give the gun solid accuracy. The slide is also fitted with simple but reliable metal sights.
The trigger mechanism is a combination of single and double action. The trigger itself does not cock the gun, but advances the ammunition belt inside the magazine. The safety is located at the front of the barrel.
In dimensions, weight and mechanism, the replica and the original are very similar, so you won’t miss out on the shooting experience. Under the barrel there is a 22 mm Weaver rail for mounting tactical accessories.
