It allows finer adjustment of the input pressure from the bottle and thus a more stable operation of the entire pressure system of the rifle.
This secondary regulator is intended for users who want to get the maximum consistency and efficiency out of the FX Impact M4. The previous model, FX Impact M3 contained 2 regulators – the first to reduce the maximum pressure in the bottle, the second – which is therefore less stressed – to achieve a more precise output pressure. Thanks to a more even pressure from the bottle, fluctuations are reduced between individual fills and the whole system responds more predictably. This benefits both precise target shooting and tuning the rifle for specific ammunition. The Impact M4 model, however, contains only one regulator. This is where Huma-Air comes in.
The main function of this component is the first stage of pressure regulation between the main bottle and the original regulator. The tuning regulator creates a stable intermediate pressure stage from which the main regulator of the rifle then draws. This leads to a smoother Power Plenum filling cycle and reduced output pressure fluctuations.
The manufacturer recommends keeping the pressure on the tuning regulator at least 30–40 bar higher than on the original regulator. The tuning regulator can be set in the range of 70–210 bar.
The tuning regulator extends the air bottle section by 23 millimetres.
During installation, it is necessary to follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedure – you will find a downloadable installation guide below. Pressure adjustment requires basic knowledge of PCP rifle operation and working with high-pressure air.
