The dog must find and indicate the items during tracking by stopping at them, sitting down, or lying down. The dog may also pick up the tracking item and bring it directly to you. If it does so, reward it with a treat. You can hide a treat in the leather pockets. However, the dog must not take it by itself. You must always give the treat to the dog yourself.
