ThermTec Outdoor, one of the leading manufacturers of professional optical equipment, is introducing a new series of observational thermal imaging cameras with dual optical zoom thanks to two lenses simply named "Wild D".
As the name suggests, these monoculars are adapted to the harsh conditions of the wilderness. The rubber coated housing is made of magnesium alloy, thanks to the IP67 rating you don't have to worry about rain and dust and all of the components can endure temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C.

The version Wild 650D features a 640x512px thermal core with an exceptionally high sensitivity NETD≤18mK (the lower the value, the more sensitive). With the two lenses (25mm and 50mm) you can increase the optical zoom from 1.4x to 2.8x and the detection range increases from 1300m to 2600m.
The final image is transmitted to a 50Hz AMOLED display with a 1024x768px resolution. You can switch between 6 color modes and you can further enlarge the target with a 1-4x continuous digital zoom.

The device can also be paired with a smartphone via mobile app where you can review stored footage, adjust settings or update the monocular's firmware. And thanks to the neatly placed buttons, ergonomic joystick and focus wheel on the top of the tube, you can get by with just one hand.
It's powered by a single 18650 battery (2 included) providing up to 8 hours of continuous operation, which can be charged directly in the device with the supplied cable or outside the device with the supplied charger.
