The ThermTec Ares 660 thermal scope, which is one of the very few that offers variable optical magnification and even uses artificial intelligence to measure the distance and distinguish the type of object, will be especially appreciated by hunters with high requirements.
The Ares scope is equipped with a 60mm lens, 50Hz AMOLED high-resolution 1024x768px display with continuous digital 1-5x zoom, diopter correction ±5, high quality 12µm core with 640x512px resolution and thermal sensitivity NETD <35mk (the lower the value, the more sensitive), and is therefore suitable even for poor weather conditions such as rain, fog, or snow.
As one of the very few scopes featuring thermovision, it offers variable optical magnification 1.1x - 3.2x, making it easy to keep an eye on surrounding activity and zoom in on a specific target in no time.
The Ares series has another interesting feature - the use of artificial intelligence, which can automatically calculate the distance of the target and even distinguish what kind of object it is - for example, whether it is a human or an animal.
This thermal imaging scope offers 6 colour palettes and 7 reticle crosshairs with the ability to zero up to 5 different rifles, so there really is something for everyone. Naturally, the picture-in-picture function with which you can zoom in on the target while maintaining the surrounding field of view is also included.
The Ares is adapted for use together with a mobile phone using the SmartThermal app, both via Wi-Fi and Hotspot. Using the app, you can receive push notifications when an animal or a human enters the field of view, along with its distance. The footage can also be stored on the 16GB integrated memory module.
It is powered by a replaceable Li-ion 18650 or 18500 battery (not included in the package) with which the scope can operate for up to 6 hours. Charging is done via a USB-C port.
The durable IP67-rated body can withstand recoil of up to 850G, is compatible with 30mm tube mount and is capable of working in temperatures from -20 to 50°C.
