It combines a thermal imaging module, aiming optics, and intuitive controls in a durable body suitable for tactical, service, and sport use.
The sight uses a 19 mm lens with a detection range of up to 600 meters and a 12 μm thermal sensor with a resolution of 256x192 px and a 50 Hz refresh rate, which evaluates temperature differences of objects and converts them to a 1.4" touch display.
The display provides a clear image with 6 selectable color palettes (cold color, iron red, rainbow, hot iron, black hot, white hot). The user can also choose between 10 reticle types in a total of 5 colors.
The sight features 0.5x optical magnification to ensure a wide field of view, which can then be 2x digitally zoomed to a natural 1x image. Thanks to its fast startup, the device is ready for use shortly after being switched on.
Functions such as Hotspot, automatic shutoff when idle, the ability to record video and photos, automatic and manual shutter calibration, and much more are a matter of course.
The body of the thermal imaging sight is made of durable aluminum alloy, achieves an IP66 protection rating, and withstands recoil from common calibers (equivalent to 1000G). In addition, it can operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C.
The ES X-Nano series is adapted for mounting on pistols with an ACRO footprint (Vector Optics refers to it as VOD), or the sight can be installed on a standard Picatinny / Weaver rail using the supplied adapter.
The thermal imaging sight is powered by a 16280 battery (3 pcs included), which can be charged directly in the device via the USB-C port, or in the supplied 2-slot charger. The device can operate for up to 3.5 hours, which can be further extended by activating the automatic shutoff function when idle (5, 10, 20, and 30 minutes).
