The Senopex DOT A5 series thermal imaging scope features a 50mm lens with a 4.5x optical zoom, 1024x768px 50Hz OLED display with 8x digital zoom and a high quality 12μm core with 384x288px resolution and thermal sensitivity NETD <35mk (the smaller the value, the more sensitive). Due to its superior sensitivity, the scope can detect a human-sized object at an impressive distance of up to 2400m and is suitable even for visibility affecting weather conditions, such as rain, fog, or snow.
To maximize the potential of thermovision, the scope utilizes a number of cutting edge technologies and features, such as a Target Engancement algorithm that increases the brightness of hot targets while maintaining the temperature level of other objects. This results in a higher contrast between the target and the surroundings, making hot objects easier to spot. The picture-in-picture and hot spot tracking functions are of course also included. All photos and videos can be stored on the built-in 32GB memory module.
The device also offers up to 9 image modes - White, Black, Iron, Boost, Detail, Background, Assassin, Equator and Edge. The most noteworthy modes are:
- Detail mode - enhances overall image sharpness
- Assassin mode - reduces the brightness of the surrounding environment for easier target acquisition
- Equator mode - makes it easier to detect hot objects on a hot surface
- Edge mode - displays only the outline of the target, reducing the eye strain
You can switch among 6 scalable crosshairs, or turn them off completely. The screen also displays battery status, digital compass and roll/pitch indicators.
The whole IP67 rated housing is made of 7075 and 6061 aerospace grade aluminum, making the scope withstand high recoil of up to 1200G.
The device is powered by 2 18650 batteries, which can keep the scope operating for up to impressive 14 hours. You can also save energy by enabling the auto shutdown feature when idle, with a customizable time limit.
The LRF version features a precise laser rangefinder with an effective range of up to 1000 metres.
