Although the brand’s roots go back to Ukraine, all Taipan air rifles are assembled and finished in the Czech Republic. The workmanship is top-notch thanks to precise machining of parts on modern CNC machines. The stocks are made of wood. The other components use aircraft-grade aluminium and top-quality steel.
The Standard version is the best-selling type of this rifle. It maintains an ideal balance between good handling, accuracy and cylinder size. It measures only 705 mm in length, but thanks to the bullpup design it offers an excellent 460 mm long barrel. Taipan air rifles use barrels from renowned manufacturers such as Česká Zbrojovka and Lothar Walther. The muzzle is fitted with a 1/2 UNF thread onto which an effective sound moderator is screwed. Shooting is therefore surprisingly quiet.
The air cylinder runs almost the entire length of the rifle and is finished with a clear Wika pressure gauge. The cylinder capacity is 291 cm3 of air. For mounting a riflescope you can use the 22 mm Weaver rail, which is positioned in the centre of the rifle and inclined by 20 MOA, making it ideal for long-range shooting.
Loading is carried out via a side lever mechanism, which is very precise and easy to operate. This is where the Taipan has received several important innovations. The first is the fact that it is not possible to double-load a pellet, so accidental barrel blockage cannot occur. The second concerns the barrel area and the air transfer port, which have been designed to prevent pellet deformation. The side lever can also be swapped to the other side, which will be particularly appreciated by left-handed shooters.
If you look at the finish of the individual parts, for example the trigger mechanism, you will see the high standard of their manufacture. In this respect it surpasses much more expensive air rifles. The fully adjustable trigger mechanism ranks among the very best you can currently find on an air rifle. There is a manual safety in front of the trigger.
The weight of the Standard model is 3350 g. The package includes two magazines, each with a capacity of 10 shots, a single-shot tray adapter and a quick-fill adapter.

I've had Taipan at home for a while now and I have to say that I'm extremely
satisfied. The accuracy is excellent. My bees are flying at 50m almost through
one hole. Trigger goes like clockwork, the only drawback I see is the slightly
awkwardly placed lever. It makes me feel like a Tyrannosaurus sometimes when
reloading. But this is the bane of most bullpups. The short size is a tribute.
All in all, I can recommend the Taipan with a calm heart.
