PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Machine translated

Taipan Veteran is a prime example of a PCP air rifle with the popular bullpup configuration. Although the brand’s roots reach back to Ukraine, all Taipan air rifles are assembled and finished in the Czech Republic. The workmanship is top-class, thanks to precise machining of parts on modern CNC machines. The stocks are wooden. The other components are made from aircraft-grade aluminium and top-quality steel.

The Compact version is the smallest member of the Taipan family. It is only 600 mm long, but thanks to the bullpup design it boasts an excellent 350 mm long barrel. Taipan air rifles use barrels from renowned brands such as Česká Zbrojovka and Lothar Walther. The muzzle is threaded 1/2 UNF, fitted with an effective sound moderator. Shooting is therefore surprisingly quiet.

The air cylinder runs almost the full length of the rifle and ends with a clear Wika manometer. The cylinder capacity is 225 cm3 of air. To mount a scope you can use the 22 mm Weaver rail, which is positioned in the centre of the rifle and inclined by 20 MOA, making it ideal for long-range shooting.

Cocking is done via a side lever mechanism, which is very precise and easy to operate. Taipan has received several important upgrades here. The first is the fact that it is impossible to double-load a pellet, so the barrel cannot be accidentally blocked. The second concerns the barrel area and the air port, which has been designed to prevent pellet deformation. The side lever can be easily reversed, making the Taipan suitable for both right-handed and left-handed shooters.

If you look at the machining of the individual parts, for example the trigger mechanism, you will see the high level of workmanship. In this respect it surpasses much more expensive air rifles. The fully adjustable trigger mechanism ranks among the very best currently available on an air rifle. In front of the trigger there is a manual safety.

The Compact model weighs 3050 g. The package includes two magazines, each with a capacity of 10 shots, a single-shot tray adapter and a quickfill adapter.
