Ganzo G8012-OR is a fixed blade survival knife. Thanks to the practical sheath made from a combination of Cordura and plastic, you can always have the knife at hand when you need to cut a piece of string, make kindling to start a fire or, for example, tent pegs. In the sheath you will also find a blade for cutting seat belts or ropes, a fire starter and a diamond sharpener covered with a Velcro fabric flap.
It has a blade made of blackened 7Cr17 steel in a Drop Point shape with a plain edge. The blade is set into a plastic handle. The handle is also rubberised. The knife will sit very securely in your hand even when your hands are wet.
Thanks to this kit you will manage to survive in the wild even without matches or a lighter. You can easily make kindling for starting a fire with the knife, and with the help of the spine of the blade and the magnesium rod stored in the sheath, you can start a fire in a matter of seconds. If you dull your knife in the field, you don’t have to wait to sharpen it – in a short time you can restore the edge using the diamond sharpener.
This is a very well-balanced knife in terms of design, which you will use in everyday life. The knife is supplied in a combination of black and hi-vis orange, so you won’t easily overlook it in the field. It is also lightweight, weighing only 199 g. Together with the sheath it weighs 342 g.
