Starrainbow Company – SRC was founded in Taiwan in 1993. It initially focused on producing toys for the domestic market, but with the growing popularity of airsoft in the 1990s, it set out on a journey to fulfil its dream – to become the best airsoft manufacturer in the world.

The journey was not easy at all; at first, it started by selling imported airsoft guns. The production of its own replicas was still a long way off. However, the huge investments in manufacturing equipment and development gradually started to pay off. The first products were various modifications and accessories for guns of other brands. This way, SRC slowly became known among players and it was just a small step away from the first airsoft gun.

First came manual and electric pistols, followed by gas pistols with blowback. Sales grew and ever more advanced replicas of electric and long gas rifles were being developed on the engineers’ drawing boards. One example is the gas Kalashnikov with blowback SRC AK-74 or the electric machine gun SRC RPK. Every gun is assembled by hand and the company spends considerable resources on testing; technicians fire hundreds of tons of BBs every year. Satisfied customers are, after all, the top priority for SRC.
