In the film it was chambered in .44, here it is available as an air replica for 4.5 mm lead pellets powered by CO2 cartridges.
The individual pellets are inserted into imitation cartridges, so loading the revolver is the same as with the live-fire version. The trigger operates in both single-action and double-action modes, so you can cock the hammer manually before each shot, or repeatedly pull the trigger for rapid fire.
The entire revolver is made of polished, blued metal, giving it a realistic weight. The grip is plastic, but at first glance you won’t be able to tell it from real wood.
The 12 g CO2 cartridge is inserted into the grip after removing the left grip panel. An Allen key is also built into the cover, which is used to tighten the cartridge.
Since the gun is powered by CO2 cartridges, the rubber seals may, over time, become brittle and crack due to the freezing carbon dioxide. You can prevent this by occasionally applying silicone oil by 1) putting a few drops of silicone oil on the neck of the inserted cartridge, or 2) using an oil cartridge (the easiest option). We also do not recommend leaving an activated cartridge in the gun longer than necessary. If you know you will not be shooting for a while, release the pressure by loosening the valve.
