Air Rifle Skout Epoch Black 6.35mm

The American company Skout Airguns is entering the market with a highly modular PCP air rifle that you can configure exactly to your needs. Skout Epoch can be tuned for all popular types of pellets or slugs.

Modular design

Thanks to its bullpup layout, the rifle is very compact and comes with a total of three barrels in size S (Short) with a length of 25” (635 mm). Each barrel differs in rifling type, offering deep, standard and fine rifling for different types of projectiles. There is also a longer L (Long) version with a length of 35” (889 mm), which must be purchased separately. The barrel is inserted into a carbon shroud that ends with an integrated sound moderator.

The fully adjustable stock allows you to set the cheekpiece height and the buttpad position. The ergonomically shaped pistol grip ensures high comfort, and directly above it is the sidelever, which can be reversed to the other side. The air cylinder has a capacity of 500 cm3.

The first PCP air rifle with a digital interface

Skout Epoch uses a revolutionary electromagnetic valve with a digital interface built directly into the grip. On the back side of the grip you will find a discreet OLED display with a red switch. In front of the trigger there is an illuminated button that works as a digital safety and is also used to switch between functions and program them.

You can choose between LIMIT, MATCH or HUNT modes and, for example, set the automatic safety timer between shots or select one of three audible feedback voices and adjust their volume. You also have options such as automatic shut-off and many other useful functions.

The operation of the entire rifle depends on this system. With a discharged battery you will not be able to shoot. The built-in Li-Ion battery can be charged using the supplied USB-C cable and charger, which unfortunately is supplied by the manufacturer in the US standard without a European adapter. However, it can be replaced with any USB charger with an input voltage of 100–240 V.

Safety is ensured by the already mentioned digital safety and the bolt closed indicator. First you need to switch on the digital interface using the red switch on the grip. Before the actual shot, the bolt must be fully closed (sidelever in the forward position) and at the same time you must press the safety button in front of the trigger. The rifle will be ready to fire as soon as the safety button lights up red.

Excellent shooting characteristics and rich accessories

Match trigger with a very smooth action is fully adjustable and the high-capacity magazine has a magnetic cover for easier pellet loading. Along the top of the action runs a long Picatinny rail for mounting the riflescope of your choice. The fore-end with M-LOK slots allows the attachment of a wide range of accessories.

Skout Epoch is supplied in a padded Plano hard case with a rich set of accessories and tools in a stylish rigid pouch.
