Self-heating All-in-One Adventure Menu

Self-heating system (or also "flameless heater") from Czech manufacturer Adventure Menu. It's the ideal accessory for travel if you've packed sterilised food and don't want to lug around a cooker and utensils. It's a special pouch that heats your food without a cooker in 12 minutes. Self-heating works on the principle of a chemical reaction between a mixture of calcium oxide with aluminum powder and water. This reaction creates a high temperature (up to 100°C).

The All-in-One package contains three 20 g self-heating capsules, two 50 g self-heating capsules and a zippered pouch in which all the heating takes place. This pack is enough to heat up up to 7 meals.

To reheat your food, remove the heating capsule from the packaging and place it in the bottom of the zip lock bag. Next, place the bag with the food and add 60 ml (20 g capsule) or 150 ml (50 g capsule) of water. Then just close the bag and wait 10 to 12 minutes. After this time, the food will be heated and ready to eat.
