PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The small and easily portable SAWYER SP134 filter is an ideal solution if you plan to head into an area where access to drinking water is limited or unavailable. Its special SAWYER PointONE filtration technology using a hollow fiber membrane with a pore size of 0.1 micron is capable of removing 99.99999% of biological contaminants from the water, ensuring instant access to safe drinking water. It easily deals with harmful bacteria, including protozoa, E. Coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, Salmonella Typhi or Leptospirosis. The filtration process is so fast that the filter can purify up to 1890 litres of drinking water per day.
The thread on one side allows connection to a tap or a garden faucet with an opening diameter of 17–20 mm. Once connected, simply run the water through the filter into a clean container. The setup can be optionally complemented with a mouthpiece or hose (included in the package).
As for cleaning the filter, this is done by backwashing. It is recommended to use the highest possible pressure to achieve the best possible result.
