Water filter Sawyer SP128 Mini Twin Pack blue/black

Value pack of 2 travel water filters from the American manufacturer Sawyer. This set includes a blue and a black filter.

Sawyer SP128 Mini is a practical and lightweight filtration system with an extremely long service life. The manufacturer guarantees filtration of up to 100,000 gallons of water, which corresponds in the metric system to over 378,000 litres.

The package of this water filter includes a rubber tube for drawing water from a stream, a plastic water pouch and a syringe for cleaning the filter. The filter itself weighs only 65 g, so you can always have it at hand. On one side, the filter has a covered mouthpiece you can drink from or use to fill water bottles. On the other side of the filter there is an inlet where you can attach either the rubber hose, the included bottle, or any PET bottle with water.

Then you simply drink the water. There is nothing complicated hidden in the filter. The PointONE technology used by the Sawyer water filter has an absolute pore size of 0.1 micron. Thanks to this, it removes 99.99999% of all harmful bacteria such as salmonella, cholera, E. coli. We recommend filtering only water without solid particles such as sand or mud. Otherwise the filter would clog unnecessarily and you would have to clean it more often.

Its only potential weakness is its sensitivity to frost. If the filter is wet and freezes, it may crack or become damaged in some other way. In that case, we no longer recommend using it.
