Water Filter Sawyer S3 Foam Filter

The Sawyer S3 Foam Filter water filter allows you to drink clean water in any situation. The foam filter removes almost all impurities found in fresh water and at the same time improves its taste and smell. Sawyer systems combine a patented foam membrane in a durable silicone bottle with a 0.6 litre capacity and a hollow fibre filter.

The bottle is fitted with a Sawyer Micro Squeeze filter. The PointONE technology used by this filter has an absolute pore size of 0.1 micron. Thanks to this, it filters out 99.99999% of all harmful bacteria such as salmonella, cholera, E. coli, etc.

We recommend filling and drying the bottle only through the smaller opening to which the Sawyer filter is attached. If you remove the reduction cap, it must be resealed before you can use the bottle again. If you do not do this, unfiltered water may pass through and contaminate your drinking water!

The S3 filtration system removes bacteria, protozoa, cysts, chemicals and pesticides from water. It filters out up to 99.9% of viruses and reduces the content of heavy metals such as arsenic, copper and mercury. This model even meets the very strict requirements of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The filter has a service life of 400 uses. Its only potential weakness is its sensitivity to frost. If the filter is damp and freezes, the filtration membranes may be damaged and the filtration becomes ineffective.

The bottle is 25 cm long and its diameter is 6.5 cm. The filter has a diameter of 3.5 cm and its length is 11 cm.
