The Vector Optics Tauron 6-24x50 HD MIL FFP riflescope offers variable magnification of 6-24x, a 50 mm objective lens and a first focal plane (FFP) reticle. The combination of LaREE HD glass, Fully Multi-Coated lens finish, a 34 mm tube and 1000 G resistance creates a robust solution for precise shooting at medium and longer distances.
Optical system
The riflescope provides variable magnification of 6-24x. The 50 mm objective diameter ensures sufficient light for a bright image even in poorer light conditions. The optical system uses LaREE HD glass in combination with Fully Multi-Coated lens coating, which contributes to a sharp image and good contrast across the entire magnification range.
Reticle
Inside the riflescope there is a VTA-3 MIL reticle in milliradians. The reticle is placed in the first focal plane (FFP), so when changing magnification it maintains the same angular values and makes it easier to calculate corrections and estimate distance. The illuminated reticle offers 6 brightness levels. The illumination is powered by a CR2032 battery.
Mechanical characteristics
Exposed adjustment turrets with a click value of 1/10 MIL, with the top turret featuring a Zero Stop function that allows you to return the elevation adjustment to a preset zero without having to count the turret revolutions. Parallax is adjustable from 10 yards to infinity and the dioptre adjustment range of -2 to +2 allows the eyepiece to be adapted to the shooter’s individual eyesight.
Construction and durability
The 34 mm main tube is made from 6061 T6 aluminium alloy. The riflescope is sealed to IP67 standard, making it dustproof and waterproof during temporary submersion. Nitrogen purging ensures resistance to fogging in variable weather conditions. 1000 G resistance means it is designed to withstand recoil from calibres equivalent to .300, .308 and .338 without shifting the point of impact.
