The knife is well balanced, rather light. I couldn't test the blade, it's a gift for someone, but I'm not worried about the quality and it's razor like. The top serrations are quite short and the next taper of the blade will probably catch on the cut stick. The teeth are about a millimeter thick on the top edge. The handle is two halves bolted together over the blade, probably made of harder rubber, of a billet section with rounded corners so you know how to hold the knife. It's full tang, the blade goes all the way to the back where the cord hole is. This can be threaded onto your wrist as a safety, or threaded through one of the holes on the guard to keep it around your palm. However, the guard does not protect much and puts a little pressure on the index finger.
The sheath, sewn from a synthetic woven fabric, has a small Velcro strap, but it is high above the guard, in the middle of the handle, so it doesn't prevent the knife from sagging and would like to replace it with something more robust.
