The collimator is excellent, I mainly bought it for children when shooting at a
target (distance approx. 30 m) and it proved to be effective. Caps can be
purchased separately, so handling is also better.

With a collimator, you know where you're aiming much better than you do with a
crosshair. A good alignment is a prerequisite to start with, which can be
achieved by supporting the stock with a stiff pad and shooting at a circular
target, preferably a shot trap. The collimator has two adjustment chambers,
which are covered by screw caps. The workmanship is precise. However, on one of
my two collimators (the other is on a 22mm rail), the screw for side adjustment
is fitted with a screw for elevation adjustment , so it has the direction of
rotation incorrectly marked. They got it wrong during assembly. The chimney caps
can supposedly be used as a screwdriver, which is also not the case, but
that's a detail as adjusting with a screwdriver is easier. The red dot is small
so it doesn't obscure the target and its brightness can be corrected by turning
the knob. This type can be mounted on an 11mm rail, so on most long air rifles
or pistols. If you take it off on another gun, you have to readjust. Using a
collimator on a collapsible pistol makes shooting much more accurate. Tru-glo
sights are very close to the eyes on pistols, so I can see them blurry.
