I'm extremely happy with the Snowpeak AP1000 B Mercury 5,5 mm air rifle. It offers high power, very good accuracy and quality build at a reasonable price.

To give an idea of the accuracy, I've attached two photos of my own 10-shot group at a distance of approximately 40 metres. Shot prone with a bipod, with the scope set to approximately 8× magnification. All ten shots formed a very tight group, which I estimate measures approximately 15 mm between the centres of the two furthest-apart shots. For comparison – the red centre of the target is 25 mm in diameter.

I'm very happy with both the accuracy and the overall build of the air rifle. I consider it an excellent choice in this price range and can definitely recommend it.

  • Pressure regulator ensuring consistent shooting.
  • Large air cylinder with a capacity of 350 cm³
  • Easy to operate and reload
  • Excellent balance of price, performance and quality
  • Excellent accuracy and very tight grouping.
  • The only downside is that since I got the Snowpeak Mercury, I haven't fired my first PCP air rifle, the Gamo Arrow 4,5 mm, even once. :-) Otherwise, I haven't noticed any issues so far.
