Decorative replica of a British revolver in a metal construction with black plastic grips. It is intended for collecting and decorative purposes.
Replica construction
The replica body is made of metal, while the grips are made of black plastic. The replica has a rotating cylinder and a movable mechanism simulating loading and firearm operation.
The hammer can be cocked; when the trigger is pulled, the mechanism clicks and the cylinder rotates. The opening mechanism of the barrel and cylinder assembly is secured, so the replica cannot be tilted open for simulated loading.
Historical original
The historic Webley Mk IV .38/200 was developed by the British company Webley & Scott in the early 1920s as a lighter revolver for the .38/200 caliber cartridge. Its design influenced the Enfield No. 2 service revolver, although the internal parts of the two firearms were not interchangeable. During the Second World War, Webley Mk IV revolvers were ordered to meet the needs of the British armed forces.
