Replica Thompson M1928 with Drum Magazine, USA

Decorative reproduction of the American Thompson M1928 submachine gun from the first half of the 20th century. It combines a metal body with a wooden stock, foregrip and pistol grip. A characteristic feature is the removable drum magazine.

Replica design

Metal parts have a black finish, while the stock and both grips and the stock are wooden.

Moving mechanism allows the bolt to be cocked and produces a mechanical click when the trigger is pressed. The mechanism only simulates cocking and firing, without the ability to shoot.

Historical original

Thompson submachine gun was designed by Brigadier General John T. Thompson for trench warfare during the First World War, but the first production Model 1921 weapons were not made until after its end. The M1928A1 variant was adopted by the US Army in 1938 and was also used by Allied units during the Second World War. Historical Thompson submachine guns were chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge and used both box and drum magazines.
